Thank you for joining, or for re-joining, my LETJOG Blog – it’s great to be back!
On 2 April 2022 I will be walking with my old schoolfriend, Rob Stubbs, on an easterly route of around 200 miles across northern England – from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hood’s Bay in North Yorkshire. The Irish Sea to the North Sea.
The reasons we are doing this are two-fold. We will be following a suggested (rather than a signposted) hiking route, similar to that travelled by Alfred Wainwright nearly 50 years ago, and this trek marks a personal challenge for us both. In addition, we will be fundraising in support of Parkinson’s UK , specifically to support further medical research into the condition.
I will be writing here weekly from early January 2022 as we start our preparations, and then daily as we walk. I look forward to sharing our experiences with you, once more!
That sounds great, especially doing it with Rob.
