LETJOG – Day 58, plus 3: Saturday 17 July – DORNOCH to INVERNESS (by Car!)

Our day started with a lovely cooked breakfast at the Amalfi B&B, before saying our goodbyes to our super hosts Marelle and Edward. Then a short walk down to Dornoch beach, almost empty at this time of the morning, and warm enough to spend the day by the surf. We settled instead for a walk around the town (and to the Post Office to mail my trusty walking poles back home!), and then a drive back out to see the seals on Loch Fleet.
Driving on again, we continued to re-trace many of the sections of my LETJOG walk, through Tain, Dingwall and Alness, eventually stopping for lunch in Beauly. Here we were now able to visit the Priory, following which we walked on down to the river, before proceeding southwards to Drumnadrochit, then along Loch Ness up to Inverness.

And tonight a real treat, and a lovely experience. We have been absolutely spoilt with a night in a suite at the Ness Walk Hotel in Inverness, arriving to champagne and flowers, before a fine dinner. Thank you!

Lovely pictures, horrible shirt!
