Let’s Go Round Again!

The Tan Hill Inn, up in the Pennines, around half-way along my LETJOG trek – this landmark is just a few miles to the north of my next intended trek, west to east across the uplands of northern England!

Thank you for joining, or for re-joining, my LETJOG Blog – it’s great to be back in touch with you all again!

Announcing LETJOG C2C!

On 2 April 2022 I will be setting off again on another walking adventure, this time accompanied by my old schoolfriend, Rob Stubbs. We will be taking on the Coast to Coast Path (C2C), a journey of around 200 miles across northern England, walking in an easterly direction from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hood’s Bay in North Yorkshire. The Irish Sea to the North Sea.

The reasons we are undertaking this trek are two-fold. Firstly, we each hope to fulfil a personal challenge and ambition, by following this wonderful hiking trail across some of northern England’s most beautiful countryside. The path was first espoused by Alfred Wainwright nearly 50 years ago, and has long since captured our imagination. In addition, and secondly, whilst exerting ourselves, we will be fundraising in support of Parkinson’s UK, specifically to support further medical research into the condition.

I will be writing here weekly in the New Year as Rob and I start our preparations, and then daily as we walk. I look forward very much to sharing our experiences with you all, on this site, once more!
