The End

Today marks a month since my return from Scotland after completing my LETJOG walk, and is the day on which my VirginMoneyGiving page is due to close.

I have had an amazing donation today, from Fr Peter Fellows of St Andrew’s Church in Pencoys, near Redruth in Cornwall. Fr Peter holds a regular ‘First Sunday Event’ Service ‘to “shine a light” on people, causes, festivals, charities and nations; to pray for them, and to raise funds for a related charity’, and on 1 August he very kindly held such a Service to celebrate and to support LETJOG!

To Fr Peter and to his congregation, I can’t begin to thank you enough for thinking of us! On behalf of Mind, Parkinson’s UK, and The Hospice of St Francis, my sincere thanks for your kind and generous contribution! And how appropriate that this support should come from Cornwall, where my journey began back in May. Thank you so much!

To You All. My fundraising now stands at an astonishing £11,038.04, plus Gift Aid, totalling a huge £12,784.63. I have to say that I have been astounded by the generosity and by the personal support that I have received from everyone during my challenge.

Thank you all once again!

  1. That’s fantastic Nick. I hope you enjoyed your rest up in Norfolk and put your feet up!

Only 429 days to Annapurna – and more scarily only 16 days until I start my LEJOG cycle ride!!!
